The ALICE RAPOPORT CENTER FOR EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

The Alice Rapoport Center for Education and Community Engagement is named in honor of Alice Rapoport, a Goodman Theatre trustee and past chair of the theater's Education Committee who was passionately involved in the theater's education and outreach efforts from 2000 until the time of her death in 2014. Alice believed in the power of theater to give voice to those unheard, and to transform our world through learning about–and from–each other. The "Alice" provides the Goodman with a unique venue to carry on Alice's dream of bringing people together, helping students achieve their potential, and making Chicago a better place.
